MARCO NORTH : CREATOR / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER / WRITER / DIRECTOR / DP

Marco North is a photographer, filmmaker and author. Born in Brooklyn, raised in a small town in upstate New York and educated at SUNY Purchase, he studied with the likes of Jan Groover and began to develop a highly refined, personal approach to storytelling. For the past twenty years he has generated a body of work that has been described as evocative and singular. Past projects include a documentary short titled Grass Will Grow that was funded by a NYSCA Decentralization grant, a novel Samantha, and a tribute film for the Nantucket Film Festival honoring Paul Schrader. 

He has taught and lectured at The Pratt Institute, The School of Visual Arts, NYU, and the British School of Design in Moscow. His personal blog, Impressions of an Expat is followed by readers from over 130 countries.


NATASHA USHERZON : EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Natasha was born in Tbilisi, Georgia and moved to Moscow at the age of seventeen. Fluent in four languages, she has produced a number of Marco's films - most recently, Need Water for the Human Needs Project. 

She is currently developing a feature film project, The Brothers Savaneli.

ALEXANDER KONOVALOV : LINE PRODUCER / FIRST A.D. / LOCATION MANAGER

A native Moscovite, Alexander Konovalov first worked as a producer for the “Learn to Swim” rock music festival. When MTV opened an office in Russia he became their chief editor of special events. Next, he worked with Real Records and eventually produced music and videos for bands such as Zdob Si Zdub and Deti Picasso.

Alexander then transitioned to his present career as a freelance video producer and director’s agent making commercials, documentaries and television projects with a number of European and Russian directors. 

He is a dedicated father to two teenage sons, and his wife is also a producer. Alexander enjoys cooking, travelling and photography.


MARTIN RUBY : COMPOSER

Martin Ruby is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, singer and lyricist known for the raw emotion and simplicity of his music. Stripping down the character and the music to their naked forms is what defines Ruby's process, and his music. 

His reinterpretation of the traditional lullaby Cielito Lindo was featured in the soundtrack for David Newhoff's Gone Elvis

Ruby is currently collaborating with blues scholar and DJ Howling Dick on The Book of Innocence, a narrative radio project, 


IGOR SANDIMIROV : VISUAL EFFECTS

Igor Sandimirov is a master of visual effects, equally adept with CG, rotoscoping, compositing and on-set supervision. His work has been seen in films such as Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, Wanted, Unman  and countless commercials. He is currently the lead animator for Toonbox Studio's Kumi-Kumi.
